Contexto Histórico y Cultural de la Literatura del "Siglo de Oro" Español

Figuras de varios estamentos sociales—cada uno con sus correspondientes características, preocupaciones, y concepciones del honor—poblan las páginas de la literatura del llamado “Siglo de Oro” español. ¿Cómo es el contexto histórico del que surgen tales ideas e imágenes? Los participantes contemplarán esta pregunta en una tertulia a base de unas lecturas que todos leerán antes de la fecha del seminario. La meta fundamental es profundizar nuestro entendimiento colectivo del contexto cultural y social de la época (siglos XVI y XVII). El idioma principal será español.

Cost and Registration Information 

Newberry Teachers’ Consortium members may register for this seminar through their designated membership contact as space permits. Non-member educators may register for this seminar by purchasing an individual membership at the time of registration. Registration for all NTC seminars opens Wednesday, September 2, 2015. The seminar will be followed by a catered lunch. Registrants should RSVP for lunch to assist Teacher Programs staff in reducing waste.
