6 – 7:30 pm

We will read Julio Cortázar’s celebrated novel 62: A Model Kit with the aid of his short stories. Each class session will begin with a different story that will guide our discussion toward a unique set of questions as we explore Cortázar’s longer work. The seminar will end with a discussion of the author’s poetic essay, From the Observatory, which will be drawn from our previous readings. All discussions will be in English.

Max Ubelaker Andrade holds a Ph.D. in Spanish and Latin American Literature from Boston University.

Ten sessions, $210.
