1 – 3 pm
Writers have words—which create sounds, color, images, suspense, characters, conflict, figures of speech, and plot—in short, all the elements of creative writing. This supportive yet challenging ongoing writer’s workshop is open to all levels and newcomers are warmly welcome. Assignments and lively class discussions of current work in progress will give participants the chance to explore the elements, to see them in action in the work of others, and to get feedback on their own work.
Brooke Bergan holds a PhD in creative writing, has taught creative writing for twenty-five years, and has published critically acclaimed poetry, fiction, essays, translations, and a play.
