1 – 3 pm
Painters have color. Musicians have sounds. Writers have words-–which create sounds, color, images, suspense, characters, ideas, conflict, figures of speech, and plot; in short, all the elements of creative writing. This supportive yet challenging ongoing workshop is open to all writers at all levels, whether or not they have taken the class before. Assignments and lively class discussions of work-in-progress will give participants the chance to explore the elements, to see them in action in the work of others, and to gain valuable feedback.
Brooke Bergan has taught creative writing for more than twenty years; has published critically acclaimed poetry, fiction, essays, translations, and a play; and is currently working on a novel.
