The institute provided six weeks of intensive training in reading, transcribing, and editing Hispanic manuscript books and documents from the late medieval through the early modern periods, as well as a thorough orientation to the archives, libraries, and manuscript collections available for work in Hispanic and Hispanic-American studies.
