Get the most out of your mtDNA, Y-DNA and atDNA test results. We will learn which biological components are tested, who in your immediate family the tests apply to, how to interpret the test results, how to prepare accredited lineage charts, network to find cousins, prepare spreadsheets for results comparisons, and join free project groups. This seminar also includes a private, five-minute “DNA Consultation” with the instructor after class.
Marsha Peterson-Maass is a Forensic Genealogist and member of the Association of Professional Genealogists. She has taught numerous seminars at the Newberry.
- Participants should bring paper and pen for note taking.
- Instructor will provide handouts with an extensive agenda outline plus several pages from the Fundamentals of Genealogy: Medical Family Tree + DNA Kinship Results Workbook textbook.
