Seminar Description

In this poetry discussion and writing workshop, we celebrate the art of poet and photojournalist Jun Fujita. After exploring the exhibition Jun Fujita: American Visionary, we will discuss the tanka, an ancient Japanese poetic form often composed in sequence or conversation. After reading and discussing the tanka poems published by Fujita in Poetry, we will compose tanka of our own.

One session. E – $50, R – $55
