Every year, the Newberry needs volunteers to make the Newberry Book Fair a success. Volunteering at the Newberry is a terrific way to learn more about this unique Chicago institution while meeting other enthusiastic volunteers.

Shifts are available throughout the run of the event, and volunteers are needed for a variety of tasks including greeting, restocking, checking, and squirreling. Download the Book Fair Volunteer Handbook to learn more.

To sign-up to be a 2012 Book Fair volunteer, please fill out our online Book Fair Volunteer Schedule Sign-up Form. You can also download a printable version of the Book Fair Volunteer Schedule Sign-up Form and return it to the Newberry via mail or fax.

If you have any questions about Book Fair volunteering or the Book Fair, please contact Jo Anne Moore at (312) 255-3556 or moorej@newberry.org. Don’t forget to Donate your used books to the Newberry so that they can become a treasured purchase at the Book Fair!
