A Devited Reader was inspired, if that’s quite the word, by the other Book Fair songs to compose this and send it in. I think it’s worthy of the rest, which might just be the nastiest thing I’ve said all year.
It’s the most wonderful time of the year
With donations not stopping
And everyone dropping them off at the rear
It’s the most wonderful time of the year
It’s the hap-happiest season of all
With the books never-ending and albums they’re sending
When volunteers call
It’s the hap-happiest season of all
There’ll be banana boxes
With aromas noxious
And grocery bags out in the snow
Tales of seduction
That earn a deduction
And help us keep more of our dough
It’s the most wonderful time of the year
There’ll be much exaltation
We’ll reduce our taxation
And our basement we’ll clear
It’s the most wonderful time of the year
