FamilySearch.org has announced that the Chicago (IL) Archdiocese’s Cemetery Records for 1864-1989 are now available online through their website. The Archdiocese of Chicago includes both Cook and Lake counties in Illinois. The records are available in index and images with the bulk of the collection consisting of burial index cards. However, there are also burial registers, daily burial logs and registers of cemetery lot owners included.
To use the website you will need to have an account with FamilySearch but registration for the account is free and can be done prior to searching their collections at the home page of the website.
