The McNickle Center Staff and Interns have been working on a Tribal Newspaper Database, searchable by keyword, that will enable researchers to more easily investigate the large and unique collection of Tribal Newspapers currently housed at the Newberry Library

McNickle Center intern Michelle Niemann created the database itself, and intern Glenn Schumacher  inventoried the collection and initiated the process of entering the newspaper articles into the database.  While the listing below does not include the newspapers currently stored off-site, Schumacher provides here the most recent update of the specific holdings of the collection.
