This collection contains naturalization and probate records from the Lee County courthouse in Dixon, Illinois and it’s being updated as images become available.
The Newberry has a full subscription to all the Ancestry.com databases and FamilySearch.org is also available. Researchers are welcome to use the library’s computers or to bring in their own wireless devices. You can even check out the online catalog for print sources before you get here. (Remember its not all online!) For example, search for the subject headings “De Kalb County (Ill.)“ and “Winnebago County (Ill.)”
