Primary Sources in Focus is a series of professional development programs for new and pre-service teachers. These programs explore methods to evaluate, analyze, and teach with different types of primary sources. Each program offers in-depth exploration of a category of primary sources to develop students’ skills in research and analysis, and inspire students with exciting first-hand accounts of history.
Participants earn up to 1.5 ISBE professional development credit hours per program for attending.
Registration is $20 per program per participant. The Newberry is pleased to offer a discounted registration fee of $15 for pre-service teachers. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis.
