  Shakespeare Project

50 Minute Macbeth (from William Shakespeare)

Saturday, September 29, 10:00 am
Adapted and directed by Founding Director Mara Polster

"Double, double, toil and trouble, fire burn and cauldron bubble." Shakespeare's wordplay, warfare, and witchcraft. . . boiled down to 50 minutes. Building on the success of their 50 Minute Hamlet, The Shakespeare Project of Chicago presents its original three-actor adaptation of Shakespeare's famous tragedy: 50 Minute Macbeth. Adapted and directed by Founding Director Mara Polster, featuring Nathan M. Hosner and Laura St. John.

  James Krag

Henry VI (from all three parts of William Shakespeare's Henry VI)

Saturday, October 27, 10:00 am
Adapted and directed by Artistic Director Jeff Christian

From the funeral of Henry V through the introduction of the nefarious warrior who would become Richard III, three epic Shakespearean histories are condensed into one two-hour play. Jeff Christian's adaptation of The War of the Roses trilogy is rife with rebellion and political intrigue. Shakespeare Project veteran James Krag (pictured) is scheduled to play Henry VI.

The Importance of Being Earnest by Oscar Wilde

Saturday, February 16, 10:00 am
Directed by Founding Member Peter Garino

Victorian England has never been so funny . . .   Oscar Wilde is at his comedic best as Jack's and Algernon's attempts to add some sizzle to their respective love lives go horribly awry. Peter Garino, who staged My Name is Will and Wilde's A Woman of No Importance for the company, directs this memorable romp of wit and repartee.
