50 Minute Hamlet, from William Shakespeare’s Hamlet, Prince of Denmark

Saturday, September 16, 10:00 amDavid Skidmore and Laura St. John
Outdoors on the Walton Street steps

Adapted and directed by Artistic Director Jeff Christian
Returning for their fourth season of free performances, The Shakespeare Project of Chicago presents its original two-actor adaptation of Shakespeare’s masterpiece. The cornerstone of its educational outreach program, 50 Minute Hamlet maintains the passion and poetry of the classic text, while condensing the story into a 50-minute cohesive whole. An excellent introduction to Shakespeare for students sixth grade and up—and a wonderful theatrical experience for those already familiar with the Bard’s genius.Note: Normally in Ruggles Hall, this performance will take place outdoors on the Walton Street steps.
