April 2008 - August 2008

Since the Newberry Library's founding in 1887 we have provided programs in the humanities for people throughout the Chicago metropolitan region. Today, through series of public lectures, meet the author events, exhibits, concerts, seminars, and other programs, you can explore history, literature, music and the arts. Topics include books arts and history of the book, Native American history and literature, genealogy, early music, African American history, poetry, and Chicago history, among others.
