The Newberry Library/ École des Chartes Exchange Fellowship

Newberry Library-École des Chartes Exchange Fellowship
This fellowship provides a monthly stipend and free tuition for an American or Canadian graduate student to study at the École Nationale des Chartes in Paris for a period of three months during 2009-2010. The École des Chartes is the oldest institution in Europe specializing in the archival sciences, including paleography, bibliography, textual editing, and the history of the book. Preference will be given to students attending institutions that are members of the Center for Renaissance Studies Consortium. Applications are especially encouraged from students who are in the early stages of preparing their dissertations.

Applications for the 2009-2010 fellowship are due on January 10, 2009 and are available at: www.newberry.org/research/felshp/fellapp.html
