The Center for Renaissance Studies’ Lecture in Early Modern History is organized by the Center for Renaissance Studies in conjunction with Northwestern University.

This lecture will offer an appreciation of the state of the field of writings on sixteenth and seventeenth century colonial British American history, with attention to the histories of other European empires in the New World as well as to early modern European history.
