By Bus
The #22 Clark bus stops in front of the Library on Walton St. when headed north (away from downtown) and on the west side of the Library on Clark St. when headed south. The #70 Division bus also stops very close to the Library. Other major bus routes serving the neighborhood include: #156 LaSalle, #36 Broadway, #66 Chicago, #151 Sheridan, and #145 & #146 Michigan Express.*
By Train (the 'L')
Take the Howard/Dan Ryan Red line to the Clark and Division stop. Walk south (away from Jewel, towards Osco) for 3 blocks on Clark St. until you reach Walton St.*

Driving: from Lake Shore Drive
Exit at LaSalle Dr. and follow LaSalle to Clark St. Turn left onto Clark and go south past Division St. to Walton St. You will see the Library on your left (east), but note that in this block Walton is one-way westbound.
Driving: from the Kennedy Expressway
Take the Ohio East Exit and follow Ohio St east about one mile to Dearborn Pkwy. Turn left onto Dearborn and go north to Walton St.
Parking
Parking is NOT available at the Library. Metered street parking is heavily restricted during the morning and evening rush hours. Four nearby public parking garages offer a discounted rate of $6 for 0-6 hours and $8 for 6-8 hours to Library patrons who have their ticket validated by the guard at the Newberry before returning to the garage.
