Social Security Extends FOIA Restriction to 100 Years

Megan Smolenyak is reporting on her blog that the Social Security Adminstration is extending its FOIA restriction back to 100 years from applicants’ births.  This marks a change in policy and means that Social Security applications (SS-5’s) can currently only be obtained without redactions for those born prior to 1912.  Read Megan’s blog entry for more details:
