Two grizzled editors, wearing fedoras and smoking unfiltered cigarettes, will discuss the ins and outs of publishing. Susan Ferber of Oxford University Press and Tim Mennel from University of Chicago Press will join us to talk about publishing your book. Possible topics include differences between university presses and trade houses, what type of press might be best for you, how to get a contract, preparing, placing and editing a manuscript, the submission process, working with editors. Susan and Tim are outstanding editors working for two of the best publishers out there. Bring your questions.
