You’ve tackled the creative aspect of your writing; now be sure you’re business-savvy. In this seminar, we’ll discuss how to get your work in front of editors, protecting your work and to what extent you can use the work of others, and how to understand and negotiate a publishing contract.

Amy Cook is a Chicago-area attorney who works with writers and other creative professionals helping to protect their intellectual property and to stay out of legal hot water. She has presented and written extensively about legal issues for writers. She previously worked as a literary agent.
