Seminar Description

This one-day seminar will cover the topic of how people get off track when following crowds. We will discuss the nature of crowd behavior and how people when grouped can believe and attach themselves to fallacies that they never would have alone. Through a combination of lecture, images, video and scientific research that explains the biological, evolutionary, and psychosocial roots of this human irrationality, we will explore how this plays out in religious settings like Jonestown, financial mania, and political settings.

One session. Registration – $85/$76.5

Tom Irvine is Director of IT at Monosol LLC during the day and teaches history and literature classes at night and weekends
