Seminar Description
The Newberry has one of the nation’s strongest genealogy collections. This one-session course will acquaint you with accredited research methods for tracing your family’s history in America. We will learn about genealogical relationships and traditional family trees and charts, and we will also look at a step-by-step procedure for finding genealogical information in Home and Public sources.

Marsha Peterson-Maass is a nationally recognized speaker and the author of the Fundamentals of Genealogy® textbook series. She has led numerous genealogy seminars at the Newberry Library since 2002.
