In recognition of their lasting impact on the Newberry, members of the Blatchford Society are invited to the Blatchford Society Annual Fall Reception.

Guests will hear from Newberry President Daniel Greene and James Brookes, the Richard H. Brown and William Lloyd Barber Fellow. Light refreshments will be served. Guests will also opportunity to view the Newberry’s latest exhibition, Chicago Avant-Garde: Five Women Ahead of Their Time.

We are thrilled to safely welcome guests into our building for this event. Please know that for the safety of our patrons, we ask that you:

  • Wear a face mask regardless of vaccination status;
  • Keep a distance of at least six feet from others;
  • Stay home if you are sick or have been in contact with someone who is sick;
  • Follow the emergency travel order issued by the Chicago Department of Public Health.
