Offered in conjunction with the “Reading the Ministry in the Americas” conference, this workshop will explore the concept of digital libraries and their applications to the study of the premodern world. Taking early modern seminary libraries as a case study, participants will develop a clearer understanding of how digital tools can help preserve, reconstruct, and open up historical collections for contemporary audiences, as well as an appreciation for the opportunities and challenges these tools offer to all fields of premodern studies.
