Holiday Performance: Dream upon Avon

NULL

Playwright John Kishline

“'Tis Chrismas Eve and wild is Avon's night
i' The Windmill Inn, this well-worn quaffing place
a furlong from my bed."

It is Christmas Eve at the Windmill Inn, Shakespeare’s favorite pub in Stratford-Upon-Avon. While the Bard quaffs his favorite beverage at his usual table, he encounters a series of visitors, each with an unrealized dream and unanswered questions. As things turn out, the Bard has some questions, too, for his visitors, as both playwright and guests discover the true meaning of Christmas.

Peter Garino directs a cast of actors from the Shakespeare Project of Chicago, including Jeff Christian, Deborah Clifton, Gary Houston, John Kishline, and Barbara Zahora. Music and sound by George Zahora.

Enjoy hot chocolate and holiday treats while watching this world premiere by playwright and Shakespeare Project actor John Kishline.
