Mark Your Calendars--Literally!

Each year for the last 30 years, Munro Campagna Artist Representatives have designed a calendar dedicated to a different cultural institution in Chicago. The calendars promote the city's libraries, museums, and (occasionally) sports teams, while also demonstrating the abilities of the artists assigned to illustrate them. The 2017 Munro Campagna calendar features the Newberry; and our involvement in the project prompted us to trace the history of calendars using materials from the Newberry's Wing Collection. Since the dawn of print, designers and printers have used calendars as a canvas for illustrating their skills--often at the expense of creating functional calendars! Join us for a journey through time, regarding time, and in time for the beginning of a new year.
