Murder in the Cold: A Tour of Northern European Mystery Writers

This course will travel north, to explore the frosty noir of Scandinavian and north European mysteries. Each country in this region has a different take on the genre, and we will read one mystery each week from a different country, discussing how its style reflects the realities of its country of origin.

Regular Registration Price (August 31 at 4 pm – first day of class): $220

Seminar Description

This course will travel north, to explore the frosty noir of Scandinavian and north European mysteries. Each country in this region has a different take on the genre, and we will read one mystery each week from a different country, discussing how its style reflects the realities of its country of origin. Writers from Norway, Finland, Iceland, Scotland, Ireland and, of course, Sweden will be represented.
