Newberry Library Undergraduate Seminar 25th Anniversary Party

NULL

We cordially invite you to join us to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Newberry Library Undergraduate Seminar.

The Newberry Library Undergraduate Seminar has offered nearly 500 Chicago-area undergraduates the opportunity to participate in a humanities seminar that culminates in an archival research project inspired by the Newberry's world-class collections.

Thanks to a strong partnership with four area universities—Loyola University, DePaul University, Roosevelt University, and the University of Illinois at Chicago—students have explored topics such as Elizabethan literature, early modern Mexican history, and twentieth-century Chicago art. Many alumni have gone on to pursue careers in libraries, museums, education, and other research-intensive fields.

The event will include cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, viewing of the Newberry's exhibits, and an opportunity to hear about the lasting impact of the program from the current and former students. We hope you can join us!

Please RSVP below by April 1st. Contact Mary Hale at scholarlyseminars@newberry.org with any questions.
