Bring the War Home: The White Power Movement and Paramilitary America
Our next Writing History Seminar will take up the issue of politics and the historian. We feature Professor Kathleen Belew of the University of Chicago. Professor Belew specializes in the intersection of war and its political aftermath, more specifically the connections between the experience of combat abroad and paramilitary organizations at home. Her first book, Bring the War Home: The White Power Movement and Paramilitary America is forthcoming from Harvard University Press. Professor Belew has given us the introduction and chapter 3 to read for our seminar. We expect a lively discussion.
