Postponed - Chicago American Indian Center Fundraiser

The Newberry has been closely monitoring developments related to COVID-19. To enable visitors to practice social distancing now recommended by both the Center for Disease Control and the Chicago Department of Public Health, we and the AIC have decided to postpone this program. Please visit www.newberry.org/covid19 for more information and for regular updates regarding Newberry operations.

The American Indian Center (AIC) actively collaborates and partners with organizations and institutions such as the Newberry to ensure Native voices are heard. With no tribal presence in Illinois, AIC represents the largest urban Native population in the state.

We need your support to continue our work across the city and state. Enjoy a fun evening of socializing and participate in our silent auction.

Come meet our special guest speaker Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky* and hear about her efforts to combat Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women epidemic. Learn what you can do to help!

*This is not a political event, and all proceeds will go to benefit AIC.

Parking is available at 100 W. Chestnut Parking Garage at a discounted rate ($11 for 6 hours). Validation is available at the Newberry lobby security desk. Limited parking available, inquire to learn more.
