In 2005, David Spadafora was appointed as the eighth President and Librarian of the Newberry Library. David will retire later this summer after 14 years of service.
Join us on June 6, 2019, at David's final President's Reception as he walks us through the history of past Newberry Presidents and reflects on the role of the President at an institution such as the Newberry. Learn little-known facts about David's predecessors, explore the evolution of the office, and come to understand the challenges inherent in being President of the Newberry Library.
