Class Description

As is often noted, ideas are easy; it’s the writing that matters. This course will provide a forum for students to workshop and gain feedback on completed screenplays. Students will learn about advanced techniques and processes for crafting a feature film or pilot episode screenplay, while also rewriting their scripts. By the end of the course, students will have rewritten a screenplay and have a plan for the next draft.

Fred Pelzer is a Chicago-based writer, filmmaker, and producer. He’s produced multiple films, most recently the feature film Regret Like That. He has worked as a creative consultant for Full Spectrum Features, One Love Foundation, and others. He’s taught creative workshops since 2013.
