The Lucky Trikes

In 1893, people from all over the world came to Chicago for the World's Columbian Exposition—the World's Fair! Join in a unique interactive melange of music and story activities that will bring to life the Fair and the wonderful mix of cultures it fostered, with selections from children's books including The Mouse with Wheels in His Head, Whoever You Are, Waiting for the Biblioburro, and Drawn Together.

Led by the Lucky Trikes storytelling chamber band, including Deirdre Harrison and Kyle Price, joined by musicians from Chicago’s thriving new music scene.

This event is part of our programming in connection with the exhibition Pictures from an Exposition: Visualizing the 1893 World's Fair. See it from September 28 to December 31, 2018, at the Newberry.
