The Lucky Trikes

This month, join in a unique interactive melange of music and story activities, from long ago through today, from the Newberry collection, including selections from Aliguq/Alega, an Inuit Story; Alice's Adventures in Wonderland; The Children's Book of 100 Pictures, and Greet the Dawn: The Lakota Way. We’ll close with a hands-on Musical Instrument Petting Zoo!

This week, trombonist Nick Meryhew and flutist Ryan Zerna join the Trikes. Both are members of MOCREP and graduates of DePaul.

This fall's new series for children, on the second Saturday morning of each month, features the Lucky Trikes storytelling chamber band. Drawing on children's books from the Newberry collection, the Trike's Deirdre Harrison and Kyle Price, joined by musicians from Chicago’s thriving new music scene, will create a unique music and story experience for each program.
