Valrie Kemp-Davis will introduce children to the Jamaican One Love Project -- "The world is smaller, the heart is larger, the love is bigger" -- by reading her children's book, Jamaican Mi Seh Mi ABC's. Jamaican Mi Seh Mi ABC's is a 60-page children's book written by Valrie Kemp-Davis and illustrated with a kaleidoscope of warm and vibrant imagery by Michael Talbot. It takes the classical alphabet book approach and puts a dancehall deejay spin to it, exploring lessons about about cultural heritage, inclusion, and anti-bullying through the Jamaican motto "out of many, one!" This book weaves various aspects of the Jamaican culture into every page, culminating with a detailed glossary at the end.
After the story, children will join Valrie in song and then get to taste a Jamaican treat made by Chef Poopa Mikey.
Designed for children from kindergarten through third grade.
