"Our eyes are sentinels unto our judgements,
And should give certain judgement what they see;
But they are rash sometimes, and tell us wonders
Of common things, which when our judgments find,
They can then check the eyes, and call them blind."

From the Project's Shakespeare's Contemporaries series, a staged reading by professional actors from The Shakespeare Project of Chicago, directed by Steve Scott, of the Goodman Theatre. An informative talk begins fifteen minutes before the performance, which is followed by a question-and-answer session with the director and cast. The Shakespeare Project was founded in 1993 and has performed at the Newberry Library since 2003.

Cosponsored by the Center for Renaissance Studies and the Department of Public Engagement.
