Members of the Society of Collectors and special guests are invited to hear from Director of Reader Services and Curator of Americana Will Hansen about a truly unique acquisition of slides depicting Black life during the Great Migration, from sharecropper farms in the South to tenement buildings in the North.
Members of the Society support the Newberry by making a gift of $5,000 or more to acquire items for the collection. Contributions to the Society of Collectors directly support the development of the Newberry’s collection.
