Hideout Trivia is back!
Produced by the Chicago History Museum, Hideout, and Newberry Library, the Hideout Trivia series combines three rounds of pub trivia with live interviews, readings, reenactments, and musical performances in support of a Chicago-based neighborhood organization each month. Ticket sales for this event will support the work of My Block My Hood My City.
Paul Durica of the Chicago History Museum and Kristin Emery of the Newberry Library host the series. Lily Emerson and Charlie Malave provide the music throughout the event and for the third round, which is always a music round.
Each event consists of three rounds of trivia. Each round reflects a particular theme and is followed by a special guest. Through conversation or performance, guests respond to the round’s theme.
Participants can play in teams of up to six. Prizes are awarded to the teams finishing third, second, and first.
All events in the series are at the Hideout, 1354 W. Wabansia, with doors at 5:30 pm and the event at 6 pm. There is a sliding scale admission of $10-25, with ticket sales supporting the mutual aid organization selected for that month.
Please note:
- Proof of vaccination is required for entry.
- Door staff will check ID and vaccination card.
- Masks are strongly recommended to be worn while indoors.
- Tickets are non-refundable and non-exchangeable.
