Join us for a Volunteer Information Session, a virtual program series exclusively for Newberry volunteers. These short talks are designed to introduce volunteers to our collection and provide some in depth looks at some of the more exciting and unusual items at the Newberry.
The Newberry's C. Frederick Kittle Collection contains a variety of letters, photographs, artwork, and other material related to famous British author Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Join Manager of Volunteers Rebecca Haynes as she showcases highlights from the collection, including Doyle's notes for The White Company, first editions of Sherlock Holmes stories, and autographed letters. By peaking into Doyle's life, researchers and fans of his work can understand more about how Doyle brought Sherlock Holmes and other legendary characters to life.
