Seminar Description

In the days before television and the internet allowed for instantaneous communication, regional, national, and international expositions acquainted the world with new scientific and industrial advances, innovative consumer products, and the latest trends in art and architecture. Take a virtual tour of some of the most significant and influential expositions of the period between the First and Second World Wars, including all seven held in the United States during this time.

Four sessions. Registration – $195

Kathleen Murphy Skolnik teaches art and architectural history at Roosevelt University and has lectured and written extensively on Art Deco-related topics. She is the co-author of The Art Deco Murals of Hildreth Meiere.
