Seminar Description
The ten-minute play has established itself as an effective, condensed form for telling simple stories on stage. And this short format lends itself well to trying one’s hand at dramatic writing. Playwrights ranging from David Mamet to Suzan-Lori Parks to Tony Kushner have turned to the form of the ten-minute play. In this workshop, participants will write their own ten-minute plays and explore a variety of examples of the genre.
Six sessions. Registration – $230
Neil Blackadder recently retired from a 25-year career teaching theatre at Knox College and Duke University. He is a translator of contemporary drama and prose from German and French.
