Antony and Cleopatra

—A Theatrical Reading

Join us for a theatrical reading of Shakespeare’s tragedy, “Antony and Cleopatra,” by actors from the Shakespeare Project of Chicago.

This program will be held in-person at the Newberry.

In this theatrical reading, professional actors from the Shakespeare Project of Chicago will bring the tragedy, Antony and Cleopatra to life.

Founded in 1993, the Shakespeare Project of Chicago has performed at the Newberry since 2003. This reading will be preceded by an informative talk by a dramaturg about ten minutes before the performance and followed by a question-and-answer talkback with the director and cast.

This program is generously supported by the Paul M. Angell Family Foundation.
