We are excited to announce the Behind-the-Scenes Speaker Series, a new virtual program series exclusively for supporters of the Newberry. These short talks are designed to introduce you to our staff, keep you updated on the latest from the library, and provide you with a behind-the-scenes view of upcoming programs and projects.

Join us to hear from Dr. Kara Johnson, Manager of Teacher and Student Programs, and learn how the Newberry has served as an invaluable resource for teachers, students, and families, especially in the age of distance learning. We will delve into the Newberry’s Digital Collections for the Classroom website to see how these digital collections of primary source materials from the Newberry’s archives — selected by educators and scholars and presented alongside contextual essays, discussion questions, and other curricula — help classrooms explore topics from the Crusades to the Great Migration.

This program will be held virtually on Zoom. A link will be sent to you at the time of registration.

Invitation to the Behind-the-Scenes Speaker Series is a perk of membership in the Newberry Associates, President's Fellows, or Next Chapter.
