Please email firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions.
When people think of Scotland, the images that come to mind are usually images of the Scottish Highlands: clans and tartans, mountains and glens, Gaelic language and Gaelic culture. This seminar will examine how the Highlands came to represent all of Scotland by exploring how the region is depicted in poetry, music, theater, film, and television. We will conclude with a discussion of the effect of Brexit on the Highlands and Scotland more generally.
Six sessions. E – $230, R – $253
