Seminar Description

Fairy tales offer rich sources of inspiration for writers. In this seminar, we’ll read stories by contemporary masters of the fairy tale, such as Angela Carter and Kate Bernheimer, and explore aspects of fairy tales such as “flatness,” the presence of everyday magic, and intuitive logic.

One session. Registration – $85

Anca L. Szilágyi is the award-winning author of the novel Daughters of the Air, which Shelf Awareness called “a striking debut from a writer to watch.” Her writing has appeared in Fairy Tale Review, Orion, Lilith, and elsewhere. She has taught creative writing since 2010.
