Class Description

This three-hour class provides an introduction to Jewish mysticism through a study of key texts, including the Sefer Yetzirah, prophetic experiences, Throne mysticism, and Kabbalah. We will explore how sacred texts, prayer, sound, and embodied spiritual practices are used in Judaism to connect with the Divine. Through close reading and discussion of central mystical teachings, participants will gain insight into how these practices foster spiritual growth and deepen one’s relationship with God.

Hadar Cohen is an Arab Jewish scholar, mystic, and artist whose work focuses on multi-religious spirituality, politics, social issues, and community building. She is the founder of Malchut, a spiritual skill-building school teaching Jewish mysticism and direct experience of God. To learn more about her work, visit hadarcohen.me.
