Workshopping Your Picture Book Manuscript (For Advanced Writers)

Eager to revise your current picture book manuscript for submission? This instructor-led workshop will provide you with the opportunity to share your manuscript with other writers and help you continue to hone your craft.

As a precaution to help reduce the spread of COVID-19, the Adult Education Seminars Program’s Summer 2020 term will be moving online. Virtual seminars will meet via Zoom video conference and will use email and Google Drive folders to share resources and communicate with instructors and participants. Seminar Description

Eager to revise your current picture book manuscript for submission? This instructor-led workshop will provide you with the opportunity to share your manuscript with other writers and help you continue to hone your craft. Through constructive feedback and substantive revision, we will focus on employing key storytelling elements specific to the picture book format. By the time we’re done, you’ll be able to return to your stories, able to re-vision them with fresh eyes. Please note: This workshop is only for those who have previously taken a picture book writing course and have a completed manuscript ready for revision.

Five sessions. Registration – $220

Esther Hershenhorn authors picture books and middle grade fiction, coaches children’s books writers, and recently served on the Board of Advisors of The Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators.
